Back in 1992, siblings Mike and Liz Comeau combined their musical talent to form Key Elements, a 3 piece band (4 pieces if you count the drum machine) covering all the favorite artists they were raised on. For 5 successful years, they played decks, bars, events and cruises up and down the Seacoast.
But then … Yoko Ono came along and really riled everyone up … wait, that might be a different band I’m thinking of … ahem … I guess it was just “Life” that took over and somehow the band fell away, but Liz and Mike’s passion for music stayed strong.
Fast forward to late fall 2016: Mike called Liz and said “Let’s get the band back together!” to which Liz replied “What, are you crazy??”
Fast forward to Summer 2017 and Key Elements (2.0) was up and running, with a new (human) drummer, John Spofford. In 2022 they were thrilled to welcome Jeff Clark, a world class bass player. They are still obsessed with music of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s … especially acoustic rock, upbeat dance tunes, one hit wonders, and even some of the more obscure songs that make you reach into the recesses of your memory.
We groove on groups like The Eagles, James Taylor, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Buffett, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Carole King, John Mellencamp, The Pretenders and many others.
